Why do we keep working for the Children in Kenya?

For all of our Faithful sponsors I dedicate this post to you! While reading from Matthew 18 this morning my heart was touched by each of you who faithfully support the children at the school of Gateway.

Matthew 18:5 Jesus says "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea". Here Jesus is teaching his disciples to not be self centered but to be childlike with humble and sincere hearts.

Jesus goes on to say in Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angles in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." God has assigned angels to look after each of these children and these angles have direct access to God. They are clearly very important to our Almighty Father! We must take this very seriously.

Jesus then describes the children as sheep in Matthew 18:12-14 "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost." Here, Jesus is telling us that each child is precious and needs to be led to Him. Collectively, the Gateway to Victory team is doing just that. We are making sure each and every child that we contact is being supported, loved, and brought into the light. Through the power of Christ in each of us please keep up the good work!
