Creative Learning = Life Skills

We have started a new campaign at the school of creative curriculum to teach our children some general life skills and allow for more imagination to develop (Kenyan education is all about the syllabus, rules, uniforms, and march in a straight line). Mr. Kipsang's 5th and 6th grade class did this cooking lesson. He in fact won the Creative Hero of the month award for this lesson plan. It is valuable on so many levels. Not only are these children learning a valuable skill because they may be on their own at a very young age. I've met orphans living alone in their own little hut at 10 or 12 years old because their guardians cast them out or no one would take them in when their parents died.

Supporting these children through Gateway to Victory gives them a real chance to live and thrive!
