Gateway is a Christian based organization.  We seek to follow God's will of being disciples through serving children.  In Kenya, there are many impoverished children.  These children cannot afford to eat on a regular basis and many simply drink black tea to try to calm their hungry belly.  When there is no food your whole existance revolves around how to feed your hunger.  Children in Kenya have to pay to go to school.  If you cannot afford to eat, you are not going to school because you cannot afford school.  This poverty goes further to the spirit of the child.  Many believe there is no hope for a good future.

We seek to change lives by changing the children.  We offer hope.  We believe children need to eat, play, and learn to have a bright future. We seek to change their foundation and by doing so we will change their existance.  We give these children the resources an suport they need to grow emotionally, academically, and spiritually.  

The students at Gateway receive two meals and one snack per day.  We provide food, clothing, personal care items and most importantly nurturing, where once there was none.  Students at Gateway receive a bi-lingual education (English and Swahili) in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social skills.  We have computers and teach technology.  A chaplain teaches them from the Bible the word of God.  We nurture their every need.  We are striving to put these children at the top of society so they can make big change happen.  The children of Gateway receive a unique combination of African and American culture.  Help us grow strong, educated Christian leaders to serve the future of Kenya!
