CLASSROOMS NEEDED

Gateway continues to grow and extend the love of Christ to the children of Kenya.  The children now number over 130 and we are in need of more classrooms so that we can take our numbers to 300+.  This will allow more children to transition from Gateway to a public school with no gap in their education.

CLEAN WATER

Water continues to be a challenge.  We now have piped water to the primary school but the pipes only have water about 70% of the year.  The Secondary school doesn not have piped water.  The children must have water and Gateway needs more storage to survive through the months of drought.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We spend time and energy interfacing with the community and educating them about our vision for the school. Our manager of Outreach meets with and arranges functions for the inclusion of the community in our school projects.

HOME SUPPORT

We serve orphans and vulnerable children who live in homes that need a lot of support. We have a mentoring team and a group of pastors that visit the homes and assess needs. We try our best to provide extra food, blankets or improvements to the home environment.

MISSION TRIPS

Mission teams are fielded every 18 to 24 months. With emphasis on service, mission themes range from building projects to Bible school for our children to medical to evangelism. And they always include fun.  Contact us to become a part of an upcoming team!

SUSTAINABILITY

Our children consume approximately 1500 eggs per month, hundreds of kilograms of produce, and always need proteins. We are teaching the children to farm the land and be sustainable.  The school teaches life skills and hope to some day have income-producing land since Kericho is one of the largest tea-growing areas in the region.
