PROJECTS
High School Sponsors
Gateway continues to grow, extending the love of Christ to over 300 children in Kenya. Gateway to Victory now provides education from PP1 (Kindergarten) through grade 9. To ensure a seamless educational journey, students transition to public schools for grades 10-12, allowing them to continue their studies without any gaps. This approach enables more children to successfully move from Gateway to public schools, fully prepared for the next steps in their education.
Home Support

We are dedicated to serving orphans and vulnerable children who live in homes that require significant support. Our mentoring team, along with a group of pastors, regularly visits these homes to assess their needs. We strive to provide additional food, blankets, and improvements to their living conditions, ensuring that each child has a safe and nurturing environment in which to thrive. Our commitment extends beyond the classroom, as we work to uplift the entire household and enhance the overall well-being of the children we serve..
Mission Trips

Mission teams are organized every 6 to 12 months, each with a strong emphasis on service. The focus of these trips varies, covering everything from building projects and Bible school for our children to medical outreach and evangelism. Of course, we also make sure there’s plenty of fun along the way! If you’re interested in making a difference and experiencing the joy of serving others, contact us to join an upcoming mission team.
Sustainability

At Gateway, sustainability is a key focus as we strive to meet the nutritional needs of our children, who consume approximately 5,800-6,000 eggs per month, along with hundreds of kilograms of produce and essential proteins. To support this, we are teaching the children to farm the land, equipping them with valuable life skills and promoting self-sufficiency. Our goal is to develop income-producing land, taking advantage of Kericho’s status as one of the largest tea-growing areas in the region. Through these efforts, we aim to create a sustainable future for our school and the children we serve.
Clean Water

Access to clean water remains a significant challenge at Gateway. While we now have piped water to the primary school, it is only available about 70% of the year. The secondary school, unfortunately, does not have piped water at all. Ensuring that the children have a reliable water supply is critical, especially during the months of drought. To address this, Gateway urgently needs more water storage solutions to sustain the schools and the children throughout the dry seasons.
Community Outreach

We are deeply committed to engaging with the local community and sharing our vision for the school. Our Manager of Outreach plays a key role in this effort, regularly meeting with community members and organizing events to involve them in our school projects. By fostering strong relationships and promoting inclusivity, we ensure that the community is an integral part of Gateway's mission and growth.
